Assisting the preparation of the East Luwu Regional Government in welcoming the arrival of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, President Director of PT Citra Lampia Mandiri, Helmut Hermawan, providing direction to management to provide funding assistance to the East Luwu Regency Tourism Office.
This financial assistance was handed over by the External Manager of PT CLM, Eid al-Adha Muller accompanied by Midun, and received directly by Andi Tabacina, the Head of the Tourism Office in his office. Friday (15/7/2022).
According to Eid al-Adha, this funding assistance is a form of PT CLM's participation in the visit of the Minister of Tourism Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno scheduled for July-August 2022 to Matano Village, East Nuha Luwu District.
The management of PT CLM is also aware that this ministerial visit needs careful preparation, especially since the Minister's arrival is not just a visit, but also an assessment from the tourist village he visited. Therefore, as a partner of the East Luwu government, PT CLM was moved to provide minimal assistance.
"We know that this funding assistance is still considered insufficient, not enough to finance all preparations, but at least the assistance we provide can cover things that are considered the most basic in preparing for the arrival of the Minister," said Eid al-Adha.
The decision of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia to designate Matano Village as a Tourism Village is an honor for East Luwu. Because Matano Village cannot be separated from the Tana Luwu civilization, which is famous for the Iron Matano.
From the several literatures he read, Eid al-Adha revealed, Matano Village is one of the areas in Tana Luwu which is famous for its Panre or blacksmiths. Panre's expertise in forging iron made Luwu iron famous in the archipelago and even abroad.
"Hopefully, in the assessment, Matano Village will be designated as the Best Tourism Village in Indonesia, its iron civilization can be raised again, becoming a tourist destination village which will ultimately have implications for the development of the East Luwu Tourism sector," said Eidul Adha.
Andi Tabacina, expressed his gratitude to PT CLM for participating in preparations for welcoming the Minister of Tourism to Matano Village.
Tabacina admitted that the Tourism Minister's visit was not prepared from the start, so that when Matano Village was designated as a Tourism Village, whatever happened the Tourism Office had to be able to give its best to welcome Sandiaga Uno's arrival in Matano Village.
"Regarding the date of his arrival, it is not clear, but what is certain is that the Minister's visit to 50 Tourism Villages throughout Indonesia is July - August 2022. So we are steadily preparing while waiting for his arrival," Tabacina said.
Tabacina admits that preparations cannot be maximized if there is no help from other parties. Therefore, the Tourism Office requested assistance from a number of companies in Lutim to participate in this Tourism Village. Because the responsibility to promote tourism is not solely the responsibility of the government, but the private sector must also be involved.
"Alhamdulillah, today PT CLM has come to participate in providing assistance, Insha'Allah we will use this as well as possible," said Tabacina.
Tabacina explained, in the assessment of this Tourism Village, the attraction of Matano Village will be highlighted. Because the attraction of Matano Village is considered rare, it is not the same as other areas. Matano Village is located in the Matano Lake Nature Tourism Area. Located above the deepest lake in Southeast Asia and the 8th in the world. Then Lake Matano is an iron paradise in the past which is famous for its iron panre.
In Matano Village, there are also many historical spots such as springs, then there is Ampat Island, which is said to be the village of a blacksmith that sank.
"Pray for this Matano Village to come out as the best tourist village in the assessment later, so that from here the East Luwu Tourism sector becomes famous and develops quickly," concluded Andi Tabacina.
