MALILI – The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has an impact not only on health problems but also on social and economic issues, including the decline in the income of most people, and even have to lose their livelihoods.
This moved the hearts of all employees of the mining company PT. Citra Lampia Mandiri (CLM) to help ease the burden by holding the Friday Blessing program.
External Supervisor PT. CLM, A. Dodi Manggabarani revealed that at least 300 food packages were distributed to the people of East Luwu Regency in need.
"Approximately 300 food packages will be distributed to underprivileged communities or those in need in three villages, namely Harapan Village, Pongkeru, Laskap and Pasi-pasi," said A. Dodi, Friday (29/1/2021).
Dodi hopes that in the future, activities like this will not only be distributed in three villages but in the future are expected to target more villages.
"In the future, we hope that activities like this will not only be carried out in three villages, but it is hoped that more villages will be touched. And it is hoped that in the future it will not only be limited to basic needs but in the form of assistance for the construction of houses of worship, "he hoped.
According to him, the Friday blessing activity that was carried out was an initiative of the employees of PT. CLM so that employees do fundraising for fellow employees.
"This activity is an initiative and spontaneity from employees in the midst of a pandemic, with this plan initially we coordinated with the company management and Alhamdulillah the response was good, so we can carry out social service activities this blessed Friday," explained Dodi.
Dodi explained that this Blessing Friday activity is outside the Community Empowerment Program (PPM).
